ABOUT BEE WELL FLORAL
Bee Well Floral began as a way for me to reconnect with what matters most: my culture, my creativity, the land, and the beauty found in everyday moments.
My name is Whitney (Whitney di waayu), and I am a proud registered member of Maxlaxaala First Nation on Ts’msyen Territory. I come from a people with deep connections to our lands, waters, ancestors, and traditions. In our community, we speak Sm’alygax, meaning “real or true language.” Our language carries our stories, our identity, and our connection to who we are.
My crest is Killerwhale (Gisbutwada di pdeeg̱u). The Killerwhale represents strength, resilience, family, and connection. These values guide me in my life and are reflected in the way I create, connect with others, and share my work through flowers.
Bee Well Floral is an Indigenous owned and woman owned floral design studio rooted in creativity, connection, and community. As a Certified Floral Designer, I create original floral designs that celebrate the beauty of each season and the meaningful moments flowers bring into our lives.
From handcrafted bouquets and monthly floral subscriptions to seasonal creations, workshops, and special events, each Bee Well Floral offering is thoughtfully designed to bring beauty, joy, and connection into your space.
Alongside floral design, Bee Well Floral offers culturally respectful Indigenous wellness products, including ethically sourced smudge supplies and thoughtfully curated smudge kits. These offerings are created with care and respect for the cultural knowledge and relationships connected to them.
Bee Well Floral is a registered business proudly listed with the Indigenous Services Canada Indigenous Business Directory and Shop First Nations. Following our relocation to Tsinstikeptum Indian Reserve No. 10, Bee Well Floral can also be found on the Westbank First Nation Business Directory under the Professional Services section.
For me, flowers are more than something beautiful. They are a way to honour life’s special moments, create space for reflection, and remind us to slow down and reconnect.
